
James Christopher Carroll is an American artist and author whose work spans visual storytelling, lyrical fiction, and mythic illustration. His writing has appeared in Rattle and Chronogram, and has been featured on PBS.
As both author and illustrator, Jim’s books have received a Kirkus Star, the Notable Poetry Book Award from the NCTE, and Best Book of the Year honors from Bank Street College. His interpretation of Walt Whitman’s The World Below the Brine has been published in multiple international editions.
Carroll’s artwork has been exhibited at the Leonardo da Vinci Museum in Milan and is part of the permanent collection at the Museum of Art and History in Geneva. He was recently inducted into Les Maîtres de l’Imaginaire, a foundation honoring leading illustrators across the U.S. and Europe.
The Dance of the Unforgotten—an illustrated collection blending stories and poems—is currently being submitted for literary representation.
